NEW! OYA ATTENDANCE AND ENGAGEMENT POLICY 

OYA is excited to announce the launch of our new Attendance and Engagement Policy. The policy has been designed to promote a positive and supportive learning environment, ensuring that every engagement opportunity led or supervised by Opportunity Youth Academy staff is valued. The policy will commence on 3/4/2024, and we encourage you to familiarize yourself with the details outlined in the policy document.

Parent Advisory Committee

The Parent Advisory Committee's (PAC) mission is to provide an authentic parent voice through engaging in review and generating advice and comment on the OYA Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) to the OYA Governing Board. 


Parents are a key stakeholder group and are integral to the collective voice as we design and offer a premiere educational edperience for our students.

PAC Meetings are held via Zoom on the following dates and times:

Mental Health Programs and Counseling for Opportunity Youth Academy Students and Families

Care Solace is an online resource with a live 24X7 concierge line meant to assist individuals in finding local mental health related programs and counseling services. The concierge process is completely free. They partner with all insurance (even Kaiser) and those who are uninsured as well. Their goal is to break down barriers so that everyone can access mental health resources easily and efficiently should anyone need or want them.
